Get and understand the AI daily overview

Daily overview on the dashboard puts together a current summary for your workday. The result appears as a new message in your personal Your Daily Overview chat channel. Only the short introduction is written by AI; the lists are compiled directly from existing data.

Prerequisites
  • You're signed in and a member of an organization. Available content depends on your module access.
  • You have access to the Chat module in at least one of your organizations. Free time slots require a working calendar connection.

Get the daily overview

Open Dashboard and click Daily overview at the top.

  1. Wait for the summary to finish.
  2. For a new overview, the matching chat channel opens.
  3. Read the notes under Waiting on you first, then your tasks and blockers.
  4. Switch to the relevant module to make changes, and note the organization named in the overview.

Understand the work lists

The overview factors in accessible data from several organizations. The three work lists each contain at most ten entries; they aren't complete task registers.

Waiting on you
Open tasks explicitly waiting on you, plus tasks where others mentioned you in comments within the last seven days. A mention doesn't automatically mean you haven't done anything about it yet.
Your tasks
Tasks assigned to you that aren't done, chosen by priority and then due date.
Stuck
Blocked projects, or projects with visible blocked tasks, and blocked tasks with no project. Paused projects aren't treated as stuck just because of their blocked tasks.

Place calendar and free time

Today in the calendar uses today's internal meetings from accessible meeting areas. Free time is calculated separately, based on your calendar connection: from the current time, within 9 AM to 6 PM, in blocks of at least 30 minutes. The calculation accounts for the time zone in use. It doesn't reserve any time and doesn't create an appointment.

Without a working calendar connection, the overview shows No calendar connected instead of assuming a free day. In that state, the current display also hides the meeting list. The appointments card on the dashboard can still show internal meetings regardless. External calendar entries can block free time without showing up by title in this internal meeting list.

Understand the AI share and data shared

For the short introduction, the AI service receives summarized figures: selected tasks, critical and overdue entries, waiting items, blockers, and, where relevant, appointments and free minutes. Task titles, colleagues' names, and comment text aren't sent for this introduction. The detailed lists, with their titles and organization labels, then appear in the chat message. Check the AI's framing against those lists.

Fetch it again if needed

You can use the button again later if your tasks have changed. A successful fetch creates another message; an older overview isn't continuously updated. The manual fetch doesn't send an additional push notification. It's independent of the automatic run's once-daily limit.

Check for missing results

Nothing to report right now means no message was created. Besides an empty data set, missing chat access across every organization can also cause this. If Overview couldn't be created appears, try again later. Unavailable AI budget or an AI service error alone doesn't prevent the lists: the app then uses an introduction made of fixed text blocks.

Find your personal channel again

The Your Daily Overview channel is created for you; managers aren't automatically added as members. For storage, the app uses an organization with chat access, preferring the active one. The content can still combine data from several organizations. The overview is currently written in German.

Common pitfalls

  • Not a complete calendar view

The internal meeting list and the calendar occupancy used for free time are different sources. For your actual day plan, also check your connected calendar.

  • Differences from the task card are possible

The dashboard card shows six tasks by due date. The daily overview picks up to ten by priority and due date. So the order and count can differ.

Frequently asked questions

Does the AI change tasks or book appointments?

No. Fetching it creates a chat message. You then edit tasks, status, and appointments yourself in the relevant modules.

Does the overview work without available AI budget?

Yes. The introduction then uses fixed text blocks. The lists are compiled from the data, provided chat access and reportable entries exist.

Is every number a total across all my tasks?

No. The work lists are capped at ten entries each, and the introduction uses that same selection too. Open the Tasks module for the full list.

Why do I end up in chat instead of a dashboard card?

The daily overview is saved as a message in the Your Daily Overview channel. That way, you can also read older summaries again later.
