Set up account notifications and enable push

In account settings, you decide which events send you a notification. You can also enable browser notifications, so you get alerts even outside the app.

Prerequisites
  • You're signed in to Project Manager.

Open notification settings

  1. Open Account.
  2. In the Settings area, click Configure next to Notifications.
  3. A panel called Notifications opens on the right, with the note "Choose which events notify you".

Turn events on and off

Events are grouped by area. The toggle to the right of each entry turns it on or off. Changes are saved immediately; a loading icon at the top of the panel shows it saving. New entries start out enabled.

  • CRM: for example follow-up due, new customer, stalled lead, inbound lead, and stage change.
  • Tasks: upcoming deadlines, assignments, status changes, and comments on tasks.
  • Meetings: new meeting and due weekly reviews.
  • Projects: comments on projects, plus alerts when 80% or 100% of the budget is reached.
  • General: mentions (@mention), daily overview, and weekly summary (email).

Enable browser push notifications

  1. At the top of the panel, click Enable next to Browser notifications.
  2. Allow notifications when your browser asks.
  3. Once enabled, it shows Push messages active there. Use Disable to turn them off again.

Push is set up per device and browser. Repeat the setup on every device where you want to receive alerts.

If push is blocked

If it shows Blocked by browser – open settings to allow, you've disallowed notifications for Project Manager in your browser. Allow them in your browser's site settings and reload the page. If the Browser notifications section doesn't appear at all, your current browser or device doesn't support push notifications.

Read notifications

Settings determine which alerts you receive. You read and filter them via the bell icon in the sidebar.

Frequently asked questions

Why don't I get push messages even with the event enabled?

On top of the toggle for the event, push needs to be enabled on your device and allowed in your browser. Also check whether the Browser notifications section shows Push messages active.

Do I need to save changes to the toggles separately?

No. Every toggle is saved immediately.

Do the settings apply to every organization?

The settings belong to your account, not to a single organization.
