Delete your account: prerequisites and process

In your account's danger zone, you can permanently remove your access. This can't be undone. Before that, you may no longer own any organization, and your organizations may no longer contain any data.

Prerequisites
  • You're signed in to Project Manager.

Check the prerequisites

Project Manager refuses deletion if either of these conditions applies:

  • You still own at least one organization. Transfer ownership, or delete the organization, first.
  • An organization you belong to still has data, for example projects, tasks, CRM entries, or documents. Talk to that organization's admin before shared data is removed.

Back up and clean up first

Back up content you want to keep. Also check whether you still use access keys or connected mailboxes, and revoke or disconnect them yourself if needed.

Delete your account

  1. Open Account and scroll to the danger zone.
  2. Click Delete account.
  3. Read the notice in the dialog: "Really delete your account? This can't be undone."
  4. Type delete to confirm.
  5. Confirm with Delete account.

After deletion succeeds, you're signed out. Your credentials are no longer valid afterward.

What gets deleted

Per the notice in the danger zone, Project Manager removes your account, your profile picture, and your personal data.

If deletion fails

An error message appears below the button. It names the reason, for example that you need to transfer or delete your organizations first, or that organization data still exists. Fix the point mentioned and try again. If the problem persists, contact support.

Frequently asked questions

Is transferring ownership enough?

Not always. Your organizations also need to be free of data. Follow the specific error message.

Can I restore my account after deletion?

No. Deletion is final and can't be undone.

What happens to my organization if I transfer it?

It then belongs to the new owner. The current owner carries out the transfer in organization settings.
