Change the name and logo
Open Manage organizations, choose the organization, and open General. Edit the name and leave the field to save. Use the logo action to upload one, then check how it displays and any error messages.
Adjust the web address via the slug
The slug is your organization's URL short name, for example my-team. Change it in the web address field and leave the field, or confirm with Enter. Check the confirmation and then update any saved links to the organization. No external website domain is stored here.
Check plan and owner
In the plan and owner section, you'll see the current plan and the Owner. The plan that applies to the organization follows the owner. This display doesn't replace separately updating payment details.
Transfer ownership
The transfer is its own action in the Members tab.
- Open Members as the current Owner.
- Choose a member who has already accepted the invite.
- Choose Transfer ownership and read the confirmation prompt.
- Confirm only after checking the selected person and the effect on plan and billing.
- Check the result: that person becomes Owner, you become Admin. The transfer can be rejected if the target person's plan isn't sufficient.
Leave or delete the organization
Members can use the offered leave action. As Owner, you'll find the danger zone for deleting the organization under General. Check the selected workspace and the note about the affected data. The delete confirmation requires the organization name. Deleting an organization is not the same as deleting your entire account.
Frequently asked questions
Can an Admin transfer ownership?
No. Only the current Owner can do that.
Can I undo the transfer myself?
After the transfer, you're an Admin. Only the new Owner can transfer ownership again.
What does slug mean?
The slug is the short name in the web address. It's neither a Slack connection nor your company's website.
