Create a new task
- Click Add task at the top right, or the plus button on an individual column.
- Enter the task name — the only required field.
- Status, priority, and category are already pre-filled sensibly. Adjust them if needed, along with the description, due date, milestone, project, customer, parent task, week, estimated hours, tags, and assignees.
- Click Create.
Clicking a column's plus button sets that column's status as the pre-selected value directly.
Write a description with Markdown and insert images
The description field is a Markdown editor. You insert images directly via the clipboard or drag and drop — for an already-saved task, they're uploaded as an attachment right away; for a new task being created, once you click Create.
Open the task detail
Click a card on the board, or a row in the list. On the left are Description, Subtasks, Decision context, Attachments, and Comments (plus Code, once linked GitHub pull requests or commits exist); on the right, under Properties, every structured field. Every change saves immediately — there's no separate save button.
The title, and the reason field for "Blocked", only apply your input once you leave the field or press Enter; Escape discards the change.
Create and open subtasks
- Click the plus icon in the Subtasks area.
- Type the name and confirm with Enter. The subtask inherits the category, Todo status, and Medium priority.
- Click a subtask to open its own detail — with the same fields as any other task.
Subtasks never show up as their own card on the kanban board; they only appear collapsed under their parent task, both on the card and in the detail view.
Upload and manage attachments
Expand Attachments at the bottom left. You can upload several files at once, up to 100 MB per file. The list shows file size, upload date, and who uploaded the file.
You can delete your own attachments at any time; someone else's attachments only as an Admin or Owner of the organization — without that role, Project Manager reports an error.
Write comments and mention people
- Write your text at the bottom in the comment field.
- Type @ followed by letters to search team members; choose with the arrow keys and Enter or Tab, or click the person.
- Send the comment with Enter. For a line break without sending, use Shift+Enter.
Mentioned people get a notification.
Use Decision context
The Decision context area is an AI feature (marked accordingly) and shows semantically similar past tasks with estimated and actual hours, plus matching Knowledgebase entries. It doesn't fill in any fields automatically — it's for orientation only.
Delete a task
Click the trash icon in the card menu (three dots) or the detail header, and confirm the dialog. Only then is the task gone for good.
Frequently asked questions
Can a task have several assignees?
Yes. The Assignee field is a multi-select with search.
Why does my deleted comment reappear after a reload?
The trash button appears on every comment, but on the server you can only delete your own. Clicking someone else's comment briefly removes it from the view, but it comes back after reloading the page, because it was never actually deleted.
How large can attachments be?
Up to 100 MB per file. The total also counts against your organization's storage quota.
Is Decision context an AI feature?
Yes, it's marked with an AI notice accordingly. It suggests similar tasks and knowledge base entries, but doesn't make any automatic changes to the task.
Do I need to fill in every field before creating a task?
No, only the title is required. Every other field can be added later, at any time, in the task detail.
