Privacy and security: manage access, sharing and deletion

Review account access and individual workspace shares. This guide describes application controls for revoking and removing access.

Prerequisites
  • You are signed in; administration requires the appropriate organization role.

Manage password and session

The account password action sends a reset email. Signing out does not revoke separate integration keys.

  1. Open Account and request the password-reset email.
  2. Follow its link to set a new password.
  3. Sign out on shared devices and review integration keys separately.

Review sharing by area

Roles, folders, calendars, chat members and Vault shares have separate controls.

  1. Check base/access roles under Members.
  2. Review folder access and managed-channel members.
  3. Review shared calendar availability, included calendars and feed links.
  4. Review Vault → Shared items and revoke obsolete shares.

Revoke access keys

Disconnecting a client locally does not necessarily remove every central credential.

  1. Open Account → Integrations and the relevant key section.
  2. Identify the key by name, prefix and last use.
  3. Revoke it and verify the old client can no longer use it.

Delete an account and handle guards

Deletion requires typing delete. Ownership and remaining memberships in organizations containing data can block the operation.

  1. Export needed personal data.
  2. Resolve ownership and unnecessary memberships without deleting shared data merely to bypass a guard.
  3. Open Delete account, read the consequences and type delete if proceeding.
  4. Address the specific guard message if blocked; successful deletion signs you out.

Common pitfalls

  • Account and organization differ

Account deletion does not replace an orderly organization handover.

  • Vault has separate credentials

Resetting login credentials does not recover a Vault master password; use its recovery code.
